Riki is upset to discover a dead part of the forest. The Telethia has been draining the ether. We knuckle down to fight the three-headed dinobeast.
I used Shulk, Melia and Sharla. Presumably Melia was a good choice as we defeated the creature fairly smartly. I made copious use of Purge and Melia did whatever she does. We only managed one chain attack and it was fairly useless as I didn't have any topple arts. I thought we weren't going to need to entirely kill it when a cutscene triggered, but that turned out to be just to let it regenerate. Harsh.
After that I warped back to Raguel Bridge killed off the Hoxes (tougher than a Telethia, due to their numbers). Then asked Juju to move back to Colony 6 which opens up a whole new sub-quest - building the Colony.
I built a few things in the Colony, it's amazing what a couple of collectables and a bit of gold will do. The people all seem very happy with their new home in a bomb site.
Then we travel to Eryth Sea and some beautiful floating cities.
The Telethia caused me about 10 minutes of worry - I am not sure if I used Melia.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing you can do when they decide to stick in a cut-scene and your enemy is back to where you started. Sometimes, but not all that often, they let you end the battle when the yellow bar has fizzled out.
Melia is a useful character (see her beautifully drawn help page) because she uses ether to help the party, and when she's juggling all those ether things around her and her arts are charged up, she unleashes deadly attacks.
She was the first person I upgraded to level X - possibly because she appeared in my party carrying the bigger arts manual. Thereafter, I tried to make everything more powerful just to keep up, but those arts points sometimes take hours to build up.
Colony 6 - I couldn't find enough stuff to make the crater go beyond level 1. Juju helps a bit, but the colonists just don't want to tell me where the other things are to be found.
Eryth Sea - it's hard to map this area chiefly because you don't travel through the points between the islands. There's one island with a hole in the middle, so be careful because underneath the hole is another island that, well, you don't want to visit for about 65 hours.
(Missing your latest stats, so made a guess)
I upgraded Melia's arts to level IV because she arrived with a stash of AP. I didn't notice she had manuals too.
DeleteEveryone I meet must have been playing the game for as long as I have - they all arrive at my level. Except Dunban, he's about a level behind.
I couldn't remember my stats, I think I'm level 35 now.
It was the first thing I discovered in the book / arts section of the menu system. When did that get there? I asked myself.
DeleteIn the Last Story, I had a character that was ten levels behind, but when I focused on levelling her up, she has since shot ahead of me. She's unstoppable!
